Update 11/20/2020 at 9pm Pacific Time
The issue has now been resolved. MFA/2-step verification codes are now being accepted.
We are actively investigating an issue where MFA/2-step verification codes are not being accepted and you encounter the error: There was an unexpected system error. This issue is arising for users that have an existing Bill.com account under the same login credentials and are setting up an additional new Bill.com account.
We have a workaround for you until we can resolve the issue. Please log into your older Bill.com account and set up MFA/2-step verification in that account. Once that is complete, it will also apply to your new Bill.com account.
After logging into your older Bill.com account, you should be prompted to set up MFA/2-step verification immediately. If you are not prompted, to start MFA setup:
- Select Settings
- Select Security under You
- Select Add Primary 2-step Verification
We expect to have a resolution by Friday 11/20/2020 at 9pm Pacific Time. We will provide a new update at that time.
