Bill.com is constantly working to streamline your accounts payable and accounts receivable processes! You can check out the links to updated articles on the bottom of this page, but here's a summary of what's new this month:
Payment terms preferences
You can now set your default preference for using a vendor's set payment term, or the term found in a document by Intelligent Virtual Assistant, when creating bills.
Copy Bill description
With the addition of a quick checkbox on the create/edit bill screen, you can instantly copy the bill description to the expense description field, eliminating the need to do double entry if they should both be the same.
To continue streamlining workflows, all default user roles will now be able to upload documents to the inbox, even if they don't have permissions to use all features of the inbox.
Roles that previously could not access the inbox at all will now see an Inbox when logging in, but will only be able to upload documents. Once uploaded, they cannot view, edit, delete, etc. Roles that previously had full inbox permissions will not be affected by this change.
You can now opt to skip the deletion confirmation in the future, when deleting inbox items, so you do not have to confirm each time you delete an item(s) in your inbox.
We have moved the page selection of multi-page documents, so you can select the pages you want, then select what to do with them, rather than selecting the action, then selecting the pages to use.
Save and next
While creating bills with documents in the inbox, we have updated the way Save and next will work, to save you even more time in your workflow. Save and next will now bring up the next unprocessed page, or document, already in the create bill window, so you can seamlessly move from new bill to new bill.
Unrealized Gain and Loss Report
We have added Federal Exchange (FX) Rates for invoice date and end date with this release.
SWIFT code detection
If Intelligent Virtual Assistant (IVA) detects a SWIIFT code on a document in your inbox, we will notify you, and you can easily click to review, verify and add the info to your vendor to setup International wires.
Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)
MFA at login
In order to reduce interruptions to your workflow, especially at key times in the process, MFA at login has now be enabled for all users. This means when logging in, an MFA code will be required, then you will not be prompted for a code again unless you log out and back in, or you want to add a backup number, change your primary or backup phone numbers, or change/reset your password.
When entering codes, you can also know select to trust each device, which means you will not get prompted for a code on that device for 30 days, unless you want to add a backup number, change your primary or backup phone numbers, or change/reset your password.
MFA for Approvers
Prior to this release, users with the Approver role were not required to set up MFA due to their limited permissions. You can now request that MFA is enabled for your Approvers if you wish. Please contact Customer Support to have this enabled.
Also, even if your Approver does not have MFA enabled, they will now be required to enter a phone number and then a code if they request to reset their password. The code will only be required that one time to reset the password, unless they do have MFA enabled.
