Changing the billable status of line items

To change the billable status of a line item, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the bill
  2. Click Edit
  3. On the line item that needs to be updated, check or uncheck the billable checkbox
    • If this box is checked the line item is billable, if it is unchecked, the line item is non-billable

Turning on Use Customers/Jobs in Payables

If the Customer: Job field is not showing on the create bill page, the Use Customers / Jobs in Payables setting may not be enabled. To enable it:

  1. Click the gear icon
  2. Click Preferences under Accounting on the Settings page
  3. Click Edit
  4. Select Yes for "Use Customers / Jobs in Payables"
  5. Click Save
