If syncing with QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online or Sage Intacct, the bank balance will sync to Bill.com. The bank balance is derived from the Trial Balance report for the GL account for the bank account selected in sync preferences. It will show up on:
- Pay bill flows, in the field where the bank account to pay from is selected
- On the Unpaid bills tab, above the list of bills to pay
If the balance is off, review sync preferences to ensure the correct GL account is selected for each GL account for bank account. To review sync preferences:
- Select Settings
- Select Preferences under Sync
If the trial balance report for the GL account in QuickBooks is not up to date, then the Bank balance in Bill.com. will not be up to date as well. In addition, it does not take into consideration post dated transactions in QuickBooks.
