You have the option to customize when and if you receive general email notifications from Bill.com. The notifications vary with account type and user role, and include:
- A bill or vendor credit needs approval from you
- A payment needs approval from you
- A bill is ready to be paid
- A bill is scheduled to be paid
- Your inbox receives something new
- You've been invited to connect, your invitations are accepted, and upon receiving other network updates
- Your customer creates a bill on your behalf
- A note from your customer or vendor is shared with you
- To do list summary
We send other security-based alerts regarding payment confirmation, changes in company information, urgent matters regarding your account and any important Bill.com related emails in real-time and these cannot be turned off.
Managing email preferences for yourself
- Click Settings
- Under the You section, click Email preferences
- If you do not see Email preferences under You, click Profile, then hover over Details and click Email preferences
- Click the edit icon
- Update your email notifications preferences
- Uncheck the box for notifications you don't want to receive
- Select the frequency for your To Do list emails
- Click Save
Managing email preferences for another user
- Click Settings
- Under Permissions, click Users
- Click the user's name
- Hover over Details and click Email Preferences
- Click the edit icon
- Update your email notifications preferences
- Uncheck the box for notifications you don't want to receive
- Select the frequency for your To Do list emails
- Click Save
Things to know
- If your account was recently removed from, or changed accountant consoles, be sure to remove the old console users to ensure they do not continue receiving notifications
- If you have Auto Bill Entry enabled, we send digests daily and this notification cannot be turned off or the frequency changed
- If you would like your to do list summary sent on specific days of each month, select Monthly on: and enter the days as a number, separated by commas (For example 1, 5, 10, 15)
- If you enter 30 or 31, we will send notifications on the last day of any month with fewer days (For example: If you choose the 30, the February notification will be sent on February 28)
