Once you schedule an outgoing payment, you can cancel it up until the day before the Process Date if you used a bank account to schedule the payment. After an ePayment or check payment processes, you can only void the payment, and only if it hasn't cleared.
Note: If you used a card to pay a bill, you can't cancel those payments as those process immediately. You may be able to void the payment if it was a paper check that hasn't been cashed yet.
Cancel payments from the Payments Out list
- Select Payments Out in the navigation menu
- Select Cancel payment on the line item of the payment, under Actions
- Select Yes to confirm

- Select Cancel payment
- Select Yes to confirm
Things to know
- Payments scheduled before 3:00 pm Pacific Time / 6:00 pm Eastern Time the bank business day before the process date can be canceled before 4:00 pm Pacific Time / 7:00 pm Eastern Time on the bank business day before the process date.
- Payments scheduled after 3:00 pm Pacific Time / 6:00 pm Eastern Time the bank business day before the process date can be canceled before 6:00 pm Pacific Time / 9:00 pm Eastern Time on the bank business day before the process date.
- Ex: If scheduling a payment on a Friday for a Process Date of Tuesday, and Monday is a bank holiday, the payment would need to be cancelled by the Friday before, based on the time frames listed above.
- Once a payment has passed the cancellation cutoff, it can only be voided.
- Vendor Direct payments cannot be voided after they have been authorized by the supplier.
- Overnight, 2 day or 3 day expedited payments (pay faster) can be canceled before 12:00 pm Pacific Time / 3:00 pm Eastern Time.
- Voiding the ePayment will not prevent the debit from your bank account.
- Same Day Pay Faster payments cannot be canceled or voided as those are processed immediately.
- If the payment is involved in a fraud situation, please contact Support for assistance.
- When you cancel a payment, the bill will return to unpaid status, which you can then pay as usual.
