Xero Sync Error: Contacts cannot be archived if they are associated with repeating invoices

Why the Sync Error occurs

This error occurs when a customer or vendor is deleted and the deletion cannot sync to Xero because the contact in Xero is linked to a recurring/repeating invoice setup(s).

How to Fix the Sync Error

  • Undelete the deleted customer/vendor
  • Delete the recurring invoice setup in Xero
  • Contact Customer Support to clear the error if the contact deletion does not need to sync to Xero
