Setting up a free Basic Receivables account

If one or more of your customers pay their bills using Bill.com, create a Basic Receivables account to get paid electronically.

Benefits of a free Basic Receivables account

Basic Receivables accounts are completely free! With one you can:

  • Get paid electronically by all of your customers who use Bill.com to pay their bills
    • Once a bank account has been added successfully to the Bill.com account, payments received will be directly deposited into the bank account
  • Manage all your customers
  • Explore the Bill.com Network and connect with customers using Bill.com
  • Send eInvoices to other Bill.com users
  • Receive documents in your Bill.com Inbox
  • Manage invoices and record offline payments
  • …and more!

Connect with an invite from your customer

  1. In the invite email, click Accept Invite
  2. You'll be redirected to the Bill.com signup page. BR sign up email invite
  3. Fill out some information about you and create a password
    • If your customer already entered information about you in their Bill.com account, some fields may be completed
  4. Click Sign up Sign up page
  5. Select whether you are a business, contractor, employee or other account type selection
  6. Enter the information about your company and click Continue Org interview
  7. Enter your mobile number for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA); this is the number where we will send a code to verify your identity when you (or anyone else) tries to pay bills or access sensitive info. BR BP MFA setup - NEO

    • We will send a test deposit of $0.01 (a penny) to verify the account is able to receive payments
  9. Click Finish

That's it! Your free Basic Receivables account is ready to use. Congrats

Connect through your customer's Network profile

  1. Click the link sent to you by your customer to be taken to their Bill.com Network profile
  2. Click Get Paid
  3. Fill out some information about you and your company
  4. Agree to the General Terms of Services and click Get Started
  5. Look for an email from us to confirm your email address
  6. Activate your account by clicking the link in that email notification
  7. Enter your bank information
    • We will send a test deposit of $0.01 (a penny) to verify the account is able to receive payments
  8. Click Next

That's it! Your free Basic Receivables account is ready to use.
