Why should I add a bank account to my Bill.com receivables account?
Adding your bank account to a free receivables account in Bill.com allows us to send you your customer’s payment via Automated Clearing House (ACH), which is like a direct deposit. You won't have to wait for a check or worry about a payment getting lost in the mail. Plus, you'll be able to track a customer’s payment from the time it's issued until the time it's deposited into your bank account.
What if I already have an account?
If you already have a Bill.com account, we will detect it if the invite was sent to the same email address you use to log into your account. After clicking Accept Invitation you'll just need to sign into your existing account. Just select your existing account and you'll instantly be connected.
If the invite was sent to a different email address than you use to log into your existing Bill.com account, you can:
- Ask your customer to resend the invite to the email address you use to log into Bill.com
- Provide your Payment Network ID to your customer and they can instantly connect to you by entering it manually in
- Ask your customer for their Payment Network ID to enter it manually into your Bill.com account
Identity Verification
In some cases, we need additional information to verify your account. If so, on the Overview page, you will see an additional step to complete: Verify your identity to activate your bank account
This step will include verification questions to veriify your personal identity, so please answer them based on information about you, not your business or employer.
