Why should I add a bank account to my BILL receivables account?
Adding your bank account to a subscription-free Basic Receivables account in BILL allows us to send you your customer’s payment via Automated Clearing House (ACH), which is like a direct deposit. You won't have to wait for a check or worry about a payment getting lost in the mail. Plus, you'll be able to track a customer’s payment from the time it's issued until the time it's deposited into your bank account.
What if I already have an account?
If you already have a BILL account, we'll detect it if the invite was sent to the same email address you use to log into your account. After selecting Accept Invitation, you'll just need to sign into your existing account, select your existing account and you'll instantly be connected.
If the invite was sent to a different email address from the one you used to log into your existing BILL account, you can connect using one of these methods:
- Ask your customer to resend the invite to the email address you use to log into BILL
- Provide your Payment Network ID to your customer and they can instantly connect to you by entering it in manually
- Ask your customer for their Payment Network ID to enter it manually into your BILL account
What if I need more than one account?
How to create multiple accounts:
- On the Choose An Existing Company screen, select Create a New Company.
- Fill in the new company information
- Confirm you want to create a new company.
- Complete the setup of the new company.
You'll see the new company account you created, next time you log in.
Identity Verification
Sometimes we need additional information to verify your account. In such a case, navigate to the Overview page, and select: Verify your identity to activate your bank account
Answer the system-generated questions to verify your personal identity.
Note: please answer them based on information about you, not your business or employer.
